Functional Investigation Of Lipid Biology In Aging And Age-Related Diseases

We are fascinated by the world of lipids. Questions we are interested in the lab include: how do membrane lipids affect cellular function and organismal health during aging and age-related pathologies, what are the organelle-specific lipid contribution in biological processes, and what is the role of complex lipid species in systems metabolism. We use a combination of molecular biology, biochemistry and mass spectrometry in cell and animal models to address these questions.
